Talk to the printlabWhich model file formats can I upload?+
We currently analyse binary and ASCII STL files. Export a watertight STL from your modelling software. OBJ and 3MF are not supported in this version. STL has no unit metadata, so select the correct units; we assume millimetres by default.
Is the instant quotation the final price?+
No. This is a preliminary geometry-based estimate. We manually review printability, orientation, supports and actual slicer results before confirming the final price. Production begins only after confirmation.
What affects the final cost?+
Material, filament usage, quantity, supports, wall thickness, model integrity, print orientation and delivery all affect cost. The estimator does not run a slicer.
Can you create the model for me?+
Yes. Send us a sketch, photograph, reference object, measurements or a written description. Custom modelling is quoted separately after we review the project.
Which materials and colours are available?+
Our primary materials are PLA, PETG and TPU. Multiple colours, selected specialty finishes and support material are available depending on your project. We confirm availability during review.
Can you deliver my order?+
We offer delivery across Sri Lanka. Select delivery and enter your district or town when requesting a quote. Delivery arrangements are confirmed with your order.
What happens to my uploaded file?+
With your consent, your model, quotation and contact details are stored privately for Printlab's owner to review. Unused enquiry files are deleted after 30 days. Confirmed-order files are retained until deletion is requested; accounting records are kept separately. Your model is never added to our public gallery automatically.
What is the maximum printable size?+
A single part must generally fit within the Bambu Lab A1 build volume of approximately 256 × 256 × 256 mm. Larger designs may be split into multiple parts after review. Oversized uploads are directed to manual review.
